Nikolai Bredelev

Young Nikolai, also called Nick around the crew.
To everyones amazement he started a sculptural project which resulted in a fantastic sight at Karlsöya!

This work tells the story of a human, who has been polluting the earth, and is finally sucked by roots into the ground, as he is reaching towards the sky trying to hang on to the light, he is now drawn into the eternal darkness of the ground.

Check out some work in progress pictures:

Dreamcatcher Performance

Anita Hillestad held a dreamcatcher workshop, where recycled materials were used. Later the ready sculptures were carried at the opening ceremony of the big stage, which is done every year by One family. The children carried the dreamcatchers across the festival area and ended by the stage wherethey were left as decorations. Later they were hung up on the stage.
